Thank Governor Wolf For Protecting Medicaid

Governor Wolf just vetoed House Bill 59, the unfair healthcare bill that would have made it harder for low-income families, older adults, people with chronic health conditions, and those getting mental health and substance use disorder treatment to keep their Medicaid coverage.

Please thank him for protecting the healthcare of hundreds of thousands of Pennsylvanians!

Healthy people are able to find and keep work. By preserving access to needed benefits and preventing more red tape, the Governor’s veto has ensured that hundreds of thousands of Medicaid recipients can continue to lead healthy, productive lives.

PS - For many of us in Pennsylvania, Medicaid is also known as Keystone First, Health Partners, Aetna Bettter Health, or UnitedHealthcare Community Plan.
